This pathway, conditioned and signposted, goes through the municipalities of El Paso, Mazo and Fuencaliente within Cumbre Vieja National Park. With little vegetation and demanding inclines, remember to wear suitable clothing and footwear and take enough food and water for a five hour hike.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>At 17.5 km. long, the itinerary of the Volcano Route has a rise of 1,207 meters. Its natural route varies between an altitude of 725 meters in Fuencaliente and 1,932 meters maximum at the summit. The way is along paths, forest tracks and roads. The trek allows one to contemplate the island\u2019s two aspects and with a bit of luck, native animal species such as the rook and kestrel.
